Quick answers to the most common questions about Nordlight.
What is Nordlight?
Nordlight is a European AI-powered investment research and decision-support platform for self-directed investors who want clarity without complexity.
Who is Nordlight for?
Nordlight is built for self-directed investors managing their own portfolio — not for advisers acting on behalf of clients.
What instruments and markets does Nordlight cover?
Nordlight covers individual stocks and ETFs on US exchanges and selected European exchanges.
Does Nordlight give investment advice or execute trades?
No. Nordlight does not provide personalised investment advice, manage assets, or execute orders. All investment decisions remain with you.
What is the Nordlight Score?
The Nordlight Score reflects how strongly current market signals stand out for a given stock or scenario. It combines multiple model indicators such as momentum, volatility, and risk conditions. A higher score means the signal is more notable — it does not imply urgency or that any action is required.
What do market stress, volatility, and regime mean?
These are model-based readings of current market conditions, not predictions of your portfolio's return. Market stress is an early-warning signal for broad market turbulence, volatility reflects expected price swings, and regime describes the model's read of the market's current direction and state. Macro context reflects broader cross-asset conditions — such as interest rates, credit, and commodities — that can support or work against a given position.
What do the 5-session and 21-session horizons mean?
Nordlight's models look ahead over two horizons: 5 trading sessions (about one week) and 21 trading sessions (about one month). Each signal states which horizon it applies to.
